This year has been testing and challenging.
Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you in turmoil within me? Hope in God; for I shall again praise him, my salvation. Psalm 42:
Has this year been a testing year financially? with no job or perhaps a job like no job, day in day out you seem to be in this rat race, going round and round in a circle yet going nowhere, you thought surely this year is MY YEAR, yet November rolls to December, a whole 12 months gone by and still nothing.
People are celebrating new businesses, new jobs, new mansions, new Range rover luxury cars or even Tesla’s, they show you their black American Express cards. ‘Do you know I can buy a whole mansion anywhere in the world with this card’? and you smile at them, thinking inwardly ‘Lord where art thou?.
Perhaps yours has been a challenging year mentally, docking and diving because of no ‘papers’, you walk in the shadows, just like a thief in the night, you avoid public places, when you see a police car or a street patrol cop your heart beats so loud you hear it in your ears, dum,dum!. Still, no Job, no soulmate, no confidant to relate to, you become a wanderer with nothing to look forward to, you don’t even know where to start from or who to tell your case to, after all, you don’t want to become the joke of the town. ‘Have you heard, they will say?’, that lady, can you believe with all her sophistication, she has no papers, she is in detention now about to be sent back to Nigeria!
The miracle-working God is still doing wonders!,
Perhaps yours is marital issues, the fruit of the womb, parenting, terminal disease and so on. As King Solomon said in Ecc 1:9 . ‘Nothing new under the sun‘, everyone has a problem they are going through, some are so big that physically it is impossible to see a way out. How does one claw out of a tunnel of impossibility?
Every day you hope for the best, you stay strong as advised, you pray, you fast, you trust God, but instead of getting better, it actually goes from bad to worst. People start advising you to settle for less, do something illegal, do something immoral, something you yourself know is against Gods will. In essence, commit a sin against God for a way out. You yourself become confused, what should I do? where should I go?.. This is exactly the gate of indecision, temptation that the enemy waits at, coming in as an adviser, they disguise as a friend who actually wants the best for you, you know it a lie but succumb to temptation.
When Doubt and Temptation come knocking!
I pray for you brethren that at that split second of indecision the strength and wisdom to make the right choice will be given to you IJN. May the mercy of God envelope you at this weakest point of your life IJN. No matter how dark the situation might be the light of God will bring you out. This too will pass 2Cor4:17, the shadow that looks like death, suicide, shame and disgrace to you, will pass. Fear NOT, I hear God saying to you, I am with you in this darkest hour, listen to me, is your heart still beating, it is me YAHWEH (I AM THAT ‘I AM’) tapping your heart saying ‘TRUST ME’ I am here holding your hand, I SEE YOU and I HEAR YOU.
This too will pass, its temporal
“For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever 2Cor4:17
This will pass, you just stay strong, see yourself where you want to be, says GOD OF MIRACLE. I too see it says Yahweh and I WILL make it happen. ‘Your ways are not my ways’ say the Lord most high, ‘try not to think how it is going to happen cause it’s not yours to envisage’. I JEHOVAH created the whole World and all that is within it, every man, woman, black, white Asian, African are the works of my hands. I ELSHADDAI created the heavens, the seas, the elements and I command them all. I ONLY KNOW WHAT WILL BE, says the Lord Almighty to you today.
Thanking GOD in spite of your circumstances

I have seen the miracle-working God perform His wonders so many times that I stand in awe of Him every time. Let me share this testimony with you, so you know HE STILL DOES WONDERS!.
A sister in Christ of mine early last year was picked up by immigration for not returning home after finishing her studies, having stayed here on a UK student visa. She was locked up for 6 months, every night she will call me and I will laughingly ask, how are you doing in ‘new Jerusalem’? trying to lighten her darkest hours. She will cry and cry till there were no tears, we prayed and prayed, we fasted and declared victory every night. I said to her when sadness comes over you, sing praises to God, see yourself where you want to be, there’s no need given up on hope at this hour, just let God take control.
Stand your Ground
Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, Eph 6:14
Did I believe at all times, of course not, especially when we got to court and the immigration lawyer spoke in front of the judge, it was surely like doomsday!. But, I will smile, hold her hand and tell her ‘you have nothing more to loose at this point, Just trust God and hold on to His word‘. If He can deliver Daniel from fire and the lion’s den or bring Joseph out of prison to glory to become a prime minister then what is your own case?.. Saying it gave both of us confidence and we will disregard all negative things the lawyer or judge said. Then they released her on bail to sign every week, victory at last!.. so we thought, her lawyer then called after a month to say, they are deporting her back to Nigeria!..How can this be, should she stay and go through the due process or run away to another city and vanish into the wind?.. This is the dilemma point every man goes through. Some of her friends said run! some said stay.
Trust God
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight Prov 3:5-6
I remembered the story of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego in the burning furnace, that said I TRUST GOD TO DELIVER ME, BUT STILL, IF HE DOESNT I WILL STILL SERVE HIM Daniel 3:16-20. I told her this story and told her to meditate on it, whatever her spirit leans on she should do. With the boldness of God, and declaring the word ‘Let the weak say I am strong‘ she went in the following week to sign, expecting to be reprimanded, but alas nothing happened!.. weeks, months rolled by still nothing. Within the following 12 months, her soulmate located her, a British citizen who happened to be a solicitor! got married and had a daughter. Last month she was granted the right to remain permanently in the UK! all this within 12 months.
In ONE year, THREE miracles happened to her after 5 years of turmoil, depression, suicidal attempts. SEE Eventually, it happened!. Could you or I have predicted that this will happen? ABSOLUTELY NO WAY!.
IT CAN ONLY BE GOD!…MY brethren GOD WILL DO IT…SEE IT…CLAIM IT…DECREE IT…EVEN TASTE IT… THEN THANK GOD FOR IT, AS IF YOU HAVE RECEIVED IT.
GOD is faithful
Know therefore that the LORD your God is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments, to a thousand generations, Deut 7:9
The assurance we have is that GOD cannot change, in HIM there is no variableness of turning James 1:17. His Word stands still till eternity, if He says it then it will surely come to past. Gods plan is a good plan for you. For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jer 29:11
Say this morning declaration to yourself
Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession. Psalm 2:7-12
Every morning you wake up. Hold your head with your two hands, congratulate yourself.. ‘Angel, Oluwatoyin, Amope’ (am greeting myself, say your name too!), Congratulations!, see how the Lord has done it for you, who could have imagined that me too will be a £500 a day earner with recruiters calling me left, right and centre. Angel look at you, cruising in a 2019 Range rover with the plate number ‘ANGEL 1’, Look at the £3.5 million mansion you are holding the keys to.
Look at Jessica my daughter excelling in her studies, even coming home with multiple awards, the Bible app I created has been nominated app of the year, my evangelism ministry is saving so many lives, even my Business has skyrocketed globally… Haa!, Oluwatoyin, look at what God has done for you, it can only be HIM. I myself have written myself off, but see what God has done.. Ancient of days I thank you in a million ways. IT IS YOU YAHWEH’…
All throughout the day, when you remember this declaration say it again, as the spirit leads, in the street, at work, in the toilet etc. You will see that the spirit of happiness will gradually set in, followed by boldness and unshakeable faith to believe the impossible manifest!
