Palm Sunday

Palm Sunday, commemorates Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem, also marking the beginning of Holy WeekHoly Week is the annual Christian observance commemorating Jesus’ last week on earth and the events leading up to his resurrection on Easter Sunday.

The crowds that went ahead of him and those that followed shouted,

“Hosanna[b] to the Son of David!”

“Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!”[c]

“Hosanna[d] in the highest heaven!” Matt 21: 1-11

The holy week also known as the Passion week starts with Palm Sunday, the triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem takes place in the days before the Last Supper, marking the beginning of his Passion week
