This has taken me over a month to dwell on! I could not put my finger on what I love best to do. When I was asked to write this blog by Pastor Angel she said ‘it’s up to you!, anything you like. It could be cooking, reading , being a wife, a  mother or simply praying.

After deep thoughts contemplating, I realised in order not to be a ‘jack of all trade’ I must decide on one ‘thing’!. Families and friends know me to be a wonderful cook…not that I am blowing my own trumpet, but it has been proven so many times! I love cooking, I don’t use to get tired or fed up in the kitchen, but this days as I am growing older…my legs and back are now complaining!!! Though I still cook my variety of dishes.

Apart from cooking, one other thing I love to do is praying, my motto is praying without ceasing according to word of God…I believe we should pray in season and out of season, I believe I should pray now so I don’t have to pray later, I believe prayer is the key! And in order not to pray amiss, I love backing my prayers up with the scripture.

For instance the scripture says in Psalms 121, I will lift up my eyes to the hills, from where comes my help? My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth. I believe this scripture so much, every child of God should make it their foundation, and build on it. Because we cannot get help or protection from any other, if God does not help. Remember ‘He who keeps us will not slumber nor sleep’. I also love the scripture in Philippians 4: 4-7 ” Rejoice in the LORD always. Again I will say, rejoice!.

Let your gentleness be known to all men. The LORD is at hand. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your  requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. I love this scripture so much!

To God be the Glory as I bring you more in the near future and perhaps if you are lucky share my culinary skills with you, after all like my grandad says ‘ what you eat now is what will strengthen you to do the impossible and the way to a man’s heart is through a delicious meal!.
