We thank God for the year 2016, which is folding to an end. Hmm!.. A lot has happened to you and I, that if we were to write books they will surely be bestsellers, of the experience we had gone through. To some it is hardship, sickness, death of a loved one and many more. To some they are better not said, beyond what words can describe, divorce, imprisonment, terminal disease, redundancy, poverty, loneliness, suicidal, depression etc.

Through it all we have been able to stand firm. For me personally it has been a very challenging year, its been tough, its been hard, sometimes I wake come wondering, God where are you?..Are you really listening to my prayer, my cry for help?..When will it end?.. so many of us have a similar story to tell, some worse, some good, some not so good..

‘What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun’.Ecc 1:9

One thing always come to my mind during these times, the yoruba adage that says ‘Ko sohun titun labe orun’!. meaning like King Solomon’s saying, absolutely nothing new under the sun, what has been will be again. Everything happens for a reason, everything also happens for a season and absolutely nothing is permanent except God!.

2017 has been declared our year of Righteousness, simply meaning ‘right standing with God’. Walking and working diligently in His will, so you can hear from him, so you can take strength in him, so you can tap into the vision He has for you this year 2017 and get the wisdom and discernment to run with it and make it manifest, so Jesus can be glorified.

As prophet Isaiah says we are assigned with the task to go out and tell the weary, tired and hopeless that this year 2017 is the year of the favour of the Lord, the time is now, wherever you go, whatever you lay your hands on, whomever you meet, favour will go ahead and take over. It is also a year when the Lords anger will arise upon all your enemies. So leave your enemies to the Lord and stay focused on what the Lord has called you to do.

Write your goals down for 2017, laminate them, put them on your wall and read them every day, as it manifest tick them off and celebrate the Lords grace to accomplish. Remember its the year of right standing with God, which means you must strive to walk in holiness, in forgiveness and in love. Seek God in all things, serve God to the best of your ability, be a light carrier and long after God’s Kingdom, what can I do in my Church, how can I serve in the House of the Lord. Who can I help today, who can I be a blessing to?.. this should be your daily motto and then see what the Lord will do.

Cast down ‘self spirit’ and let God increase in you, see things from God’s perspective and move from everything and anyone that will make you fall from standing with God. Take time to consider every friend you have, are they adding value to your life in a Godly way or causing you to sin, if it is the latter cut them off before 2017. Are there relationships that you need to build on the more 2017, people that will elevate you and your dreams, then make it a number on your goal list.

Above all fix your eyes on Jesus the author and finisher of your faith. Remember ‘Prayer is the master key’.. Learn to be on fire in the Spirit, the battle of our warfare is not canal. The less prayerful you are, the more worldly you become, the less you walk in the spirit or hear from God. Such person acts out of flesh, which fruits are, pride, unforgiveness and backbiting.  Be careful of where you go, whom you associate yourself with and strive for the best.

2017 is your year of favour if you hearken to the voice of the Lord. I pray 2017 bring, joy unquantifiable, testimonies indescribable and wonders beyond belief for you and your family. I soak you in the blood of Jesus and declare no evil shall befall you or your family 2017.
