Introduction
The Women Fellowship Band comprise of all female bands in the Church. Our primary aim is to foster, educate and develop the qualities of a “Virtuous Woman” amongst every woman in this Church. The Good Women in the Bible serve the Lord with their minds, souls, hearts and strengths. We are trying as much as possible to emulate and focus our attention on the ideal women as described in the Bible (Proverb 31:10-30). The virtuous woman described in the scripture, is the woman who puts God first and have a relationship with God and does not only rely on her abilities, talents or any form of acquired skills, all her accomplishments and her strength comes from God.
Today’s women should be encouraged to portray God-Inspired character and follow the examples and the characteristic of good women in the Bible. Our teaching is based on building a strong, dignified, multitalented, caring women who are individuals on their own and able to manage their family affairs. Their husband’s true life partner in every situation as describe in (Genesis2: 20-23), and can be completely trusted with the family responsibilities and belongings.
Examples of Virtuous Woman
According to (Proverb 31:10-22) A virtuous woman must have a skills and abilities with the heartfelt sensitivity and compassion to care for and fulfill the needs of people who are less privilege. Cheerfully and energetically to tackle the challenges each day brings. Her husband and children love and respect her for her kindness and generosity. However, her responsibility is to look up to God and her primary concern is God’s will in her life. She is a woman after God’s own heart.
Let us examine the characteristics of this remarkable woman — a role model for Christian women today.
Faith was seen in the widow of Zarephath (1st King 17:9, 17)
The Shunamite woman was well respected in the society, kind hearted, of love, contentment and persistence (2nd King 4:12-30).
Rhoda was full of Holy Spirit and a Joyous damsel (Act 12:13).
Hannah was a Prayerful woman who hopes in the Lord and was rewarded accordingly and highly blessed (1st Samuel 2: 1-36).
Deborah was a courageous Leader and a Prophetess (Judges 4: 4-6). We saw humility in Sarah she was devoted loyal and submissive (1st Peter 3: 1-6),
Love in Ruth (Ruth 1:16)
Abigail wise and intuitive, she was an intelligent woman with a leadership profile (1st Samuel 25:1-42).
Lydia was a cloth merchant, provide for the needy (Act 16:14-15)
Anna was a prophetess – serving God both day & night with prayer and fasting (Luke2:36-37)
Joanna had a complete confidence and faith in Jesus Christ (Luke 8:3). Dorcas was full of good work & charitable deeds, her life was miraculously restored (Act 9:36)
Martha was a woman of hospitality (Mark 9:41, Proverb 31:20). Holy Mary was highly favoured and full of grace with the fruit of redemption (Luke 1:30). Queen Esther was a prayer warrior; through this she saved a nation (Esther 4:16).
Conclusion
Virtuous women priorities are determined by God’s will and she is concerned about what God thinks, rather than what other people think. Physical beauty and worldly achievement may be admirable qualities; however these things may not to be seen as virtues. An Ideal woman does not depend on beauty and charm for her success instead recognizes her need for God.
